The Aspire programme is our way of giving back to the communities in which we are based. It is student-led and extra-curricular. It is developed by you, providing collaboration and networking opportunities across the region. It furthers our commitment to you as both people and performers; providing yet more opportunities to develop additional skillsets for your future career.
All MAMT students are encouraged to take part in the Aspire programme. It can help to build skills in other areas, for example: teaching, script-writing, composing and directing. The potential activities are endless and limited only by the size of your imagination! Support is provided by our academy, our mentors, our partner organisations, and in time, our graduates.
Our faculty of producers, directors, choreographers and performers are of course on hand to offer assistance and guidance but it is you, the students, who will deliver these projects. You will feel the benefit of understanding the industry as a business; after all, in 2 years’ time, you will be a fully-fledged freelancer, so diversifying your skills early on is a great idea.
The Aspire programme offers students:
We can support you with:
- Obtaining teaching qualifications and experience – in a variety of performing arts subjects
- Developing your workshop planning and delivery skills
- Meeting people from other areas of the industry (writers, composers, marketing managers, musicians, facilitators...you name it!)
- Administration costs to support the success of extra curricular, Aspire projects
With a faculty that is currently so involved in the industry, we know we can put you in touch with theright people to help these projects succeed. Just another long-term commitment to you.
